Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Attend Elton John's Final Vegas Residency Show

Elton John's name will forever be synonymous with the Las Vegas residency scene, but the music icon took his final bow at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday night (May 17), closing out his concert series after more than a decade. And much to our envy, Miley Cyrus, and Liam Hemsworth made it out for the very last show in his long-running stay in Sin City.

After the show wrapped, John took to social media to share shots from the evening, including one photo alongside the power couple. "One of the great things I’ll miss about staying in Vegas - you never know who’s going to pop by," he captioned the shot, which features the three of them backstage of the show. "Love you @mileycyrus @liamhemsworth." John's final show of his "Million Dollar Piano" concert series was sold out, filled with 4,300 fans and saw the icon dedicate his performance of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" to Cyrus, according to the pop star.

"The Million Dollar Piano" residency was the star's second Las Vegas series after "The Red Piano." In total, he has performed 450 shows at the venue.

In related news, John will leave the States (if he hasn't already) to serve as the musical entertainment for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding on Saturday (May 19). TMZ broke the news on Wednesday, confirming his appearance at the highly-anticipated engagement at the St. George's Chapel in the U.K. It’s unknown as to whether the music icon, who will hit the road later this year for his farewell tour, will perform at the church ceremony or evening reception. John originally had Las Vegas shows booked this week, but they were moved due to a "scheduling conflict" and now we know the reason why.

John has a long history with the royal family given his close relations with the late Princess Diana. The pair previously worked together to raise money for AIDS research and awareness of the disease. He was also a huge support system for Prince Harry and Prince William when Diana passed away in 1997. In case you don’t remember, the industry staple famously performed "Candle in the Wind" as a tribute to Diana at her funeral.
