Rihanna Announces Date For 2019 Diamond Ball: See Her Post

After a successful four-year run, Rihanna's Diamond Ball, which raises donations for the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), announced details surrounding this year's highly-anticipated affair and, as always, Rihanna was at the forefront of the news.

On Tuesday afternoon (May 14), the pop titan took to Instagram to make the big unveil for this year's ceremony, which is scheduled for September 12. "We're coming back to NY for the #DIAMONDBALL to benefit #CLF !! Follow @claralionelfdn for ways to donate, and the announcement of our host and performers coming soon," the 31-year-old star captioned a simple black image with the event title in bold font. The Instagram account for the Clara Lionel Foundation followed suit by reposting the image.

As it has in recent years, this year's event will see celebrities come together to raise awareness and contribute to the Clara Lionel Foundation's global initiatives in line with education, health and emergency response programs around the world. In 2018, the Diamond Ball saw Issa Rae host the affair, while Kendrick Lamar and DJ Mustard offered up entertainment for the night. Initially launched in 2014, the event has seen previous special guests like Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian, Big Sean, Will Smith, Kylie Jenner, Zendaya and Kevin Hart.
