Chris Janson Takes On The Upbeat Holiday Classic 'Run, Run Rudolph'

Chris Janson is getting everyone in the holiday spirit with his new rendition of "Run, Run Rudolph." The song, previously recorded by Chuck Berry has been a favorite Christmas classic for many years now.

Janson brought his version of "Run, Run Rudolph" to ABC's CMA Country Christmas special, which aired on December 3. The country star delivered a highly energetic performance in a way that only he could do featuring an impressive harmonica solo throughout the song.

"I said, 'Man, I want to do mine like Chuck would do it," he shared in an interview. "So it's gonna be rock-and-roll. Loud raucous guitars, and I'm putting my twist on it by bringing the harmonica."

He continues, "And it's just been a lot of fun. I've been hearing it my whole life. You just never really know exactly what the lyrics are saying, particularly until you dive in. So I hope I can serve some justice to the songwriters and to the artist, Chuck Berry."

In November, Janson kicked off the holiday season with a performance at the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He brought positive energy singing his single "Good Vibes."

"Good Vibes" is featured on his latest album, Real Friends, along with other fan-favorites, "Waitin' On 5," "Done," "Beer Me," and a duet with Blake Shelton on the album's title track, "Real Friends."

"Real Friends is my favorite album I've made yet, hands down," Janson says. "I made Real Friends with actual real friends. I produced the album with real friends, wrote all the songs with real friends, took all the photos for the project with my best friend and wife, Kelly, and I also have a huge collaboration on this album with one of my favorite 'Ole' friends [Blake Shelton]! I'm more excited about music now than I have been in all of my career. Thank you to my fans, who truly are my real friends and helped me get where I am today."
