This summer is already turning out to be the hottest on record in our area. And if you think it's hot, imaging what your four legged friend is feeling, especially if you're walking them on the hot pavement.
Hot asphalt can cause serious burns to your pet's paws. I've actually changed my daily routine so I can walk my dogs early in the morning before the heat hits head on.
However, if you can't alter your schedule, there IS a quick and easy test to see if the street's temperature is cool enough to walk your dog.
